ZEFFAC: Emission-Free Aviation Through Fuel Cells

LuFo Project

Pioneering development of air-lubricated foil bearings for next-generation fuel cell air supply systems in aerospace applications.

In the collaborative project "Fuel Cell Charging for Emission-Free Aviation" (ZEFFAC), SADAP contributes its expertise in developing novel air-lubricated foil bearing systems. This technology is essential for hydrocarbon-free air supply systems in Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (PEM-FC), enabling high-speed rotors exceeding 100,000 RPM at extreme operating temperatures.
